Jetstar is an Australian low cost airline operated by Qantas and launched in 2003. Originally offering domestic flights within Australia, the airline opened flights to Christchurch in New Zealand in 2005. Later, services to Asia were launched.
Australian destinations include Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, and more than a dozen other airports, many of which serve popular tourist spots like Uluru and the Great Barrier Reef. Jetstar flies to five cities in New Zealand, as well as destinations in China, Vietnam, Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, and the Philippines, and Honolulu in Hawaii. Their destinations tend to be cities popular with tourists and young travellers, like Bangkok, Phuket, and Ho Chi Minh City.
Jetstar offers many facilities not usually associated with budget airlines, including reserved seating, seatback entertainment, and, on international flights, a business class cabin with premium seating.
