A member of oneworld, the world’s biggest airline alliance, Malaysia Airlines - the national carrier of Malaysia - operates flights to destinations throughout Asia, Europe and Oceania. Initially formed as Malaysian Airways Limited, the company began commercial flights in 1947 and currently serves 60 destinations, with a strong commercial presence in South-East Asia. Malaysia Airlines is also one of only 20 airlines that operate the so-called ‘Kangaroo Route’ from the UK to Australia.

Malaysia Airlines operates a fleet of 100 aircraft, three quarters of which are manufactured by Boeing; its Airbus A380 aircraft offer the widest fully-flat seats in first class in the world, as well as eight enclosed suites featuring flat-screen televisions.

In recent years, Malaysia Airlines has won a number of awards including the World’s Best Cabin Crew in 2012, as well as being graded with five stars by Skytrax, one of only seven world airlines to achieve this recognition in 2013.
