Cebu Pacific Air is a low cost airline that has its headquarters in Manila (Philippines). The airline began to operate in 1996, when it served domestic destinations in the country's biggest urban centres, including Manila, Davao, and Cebu. The airline experienced fast growth and was operating over 80 daily flights within its first 5 years of existence. In the early 2000s, Cebu Pacific began offering international flights within South East Asia, mainly to Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, and Korea. Nowadays, Cebu serves over 60 destinations and flies as far as India, Australia, the Maldives, and the United Arab Emirates.
In 2011, Cebu was listed as the 5th most profitable low cost airline in the world, and over the years it has received other awards in recognition of its business vision, growth levels, and successful customer engagement strategies. Cebu Pacific operates a rewards programme known as GetGo.
