Air China Airlines

With its flight operations based out of Beijing Capital International Airport, Air China is the flag carrier for the People’s Republic of China, and also one of the country's main airlines. Established in 1988, the airline celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2013 by conducting China’s first journey with an in-flight wireless Internet connection. Air China is also part of the world’s largest global airline alliance; Star Alliance.

Having extensive code-sharing agreements with companies such as Virgin Atlantic, United Airlines and Air New Zealand, Air China has established a large network across the world. Destinations include those in Europe, North America, Asia and the Middle East, with new partnerships set to expand Air China's reach even further.

The company also established China’s first frequent flyer program – Phoenix Miles. Mileages can be earned by travellers not only on Air China flights, but those with partner airlines and affiliated partner airlines too.
